Learning Outcome
This course will introduce students to many frequently used business English terms and phrases and improve their ability to speak English in a wide range of business contexts including:
- Participating effectively in meetings
- Managing telephone calls
- Meeting and greeting other members of staff and customers
- Dealing with a workplace conflict
- Meeting people in social settings
Who is this course for?
This course is designed for anybody who wants to improve their spoken English, regardless of their current level. Even if you are a complete beginner, our one to one sessions, can help you to improve your ability to speak and understand English quickly. As you will be the only student in the class, the teacher can tailor the conversation to topics/language areas you would like to cover; for example ‘attending a business meeting in the UK.’ If you do not have any specific topics you would like to cover, the teacher will give you options to choose from.
Class size
There is only one student in the class. This means you will have a lot of opportunity to talk and answer questions.
Course content and how will I be tested?
As you will be the only student in the class, the teacher can tailor the conversation to topics/language areas you would like to cover; for example ‘attending a business meeting in the UK.’ If you do not have any specific topics you would like to cover, the teacher will give you options to choose from. There will not be any test but the teacher will give you feedback, throughout the session, on any mistake made e.g. pronunciation, grammar, tone etc. Additionally, the teacher will look to introduce some new words, phrases or English terms into each session to improve your knowledge and vocabulary.
How will I be assessed?
There will be an extremely high level of interaction between you and your teacher. Your teacher will be assessing your ability in every lesson, by listening to your spoken English and by assessing your understanding of English, based on your answers to questions asked by the teacher.
